A few words from the Chairman
Terry Pearson
Welcome to the website for Eccleshill Mechanics Institute, your community hub for Eccleshill.
The Mechanics has had the most varied history over the last 150 years, I am particularly delighted that perhaps the biggest achievement sine the Local Authority ‘conned’ the village by taking control of the building in or around 1905 that the building now belongs back with the community under a 99 year lease until 2120.
I hope you find everything you are looking for and look forward to welcoming you into your building for your next visit whether for the monthly Farmers Crafty market our in-house Bistro.
Farmers Crafty Market
2nd Sarurday each Monthly from March through to Christmas weekend in December
Mi’Community Events have developed this fantastic monthly event here at the Mechanics with a range of individual craft stalls; all supporting locla crafters and small businesses.
